Liberty Nats Burnout Competition
A bracket-style burnout competition sets the stage as qualifying narrows the field and 16 cars move on to Saturday for a head-to-head bracket series. Admission is $20 per person per day, and children 12 and under get in free.
Friday features gates opening for the day, two test sessions to dial in setups, and qualifying that runs until it is wrapped up. Saturday begins with a second round of qualifying, followed by a chip draw, then three elimination rounds, a Second Chance Event, and the final round.
The Second Chance payout awards $3,500 for first, $1,000 for second, and $500 for third. Safety and tech rules include a helmet, firesuit, and safety belt, along with a full firewall.
Turbocharged vehicles must have X bolts in the exhaust, and a battery disconnect switch is required. Hubcaps, aluminum wheels, and wheel weights are not permitted.
Judging awards points for instant smoke worth 10, tip in hype worth 30, constant smoke worth 20, driver skill worth 30, and crowd hype worth 10.
