1. Who we are

EventYo is operated by James Davis, an individual based in Georgia, USA (“we,” “us,” or “our”). You can reach us at [email protected].

2. What information we collect

EventYo does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the site. Specifically:

• Google Analytics 4: We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how users interact with our platform. Google Analytics collects information about your browsing behavior (pages visited, events, time on page) but does not collect personally identifiable information like your name or email. Data is processed according to Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser extension.
• No persistent cookies: Beyond Google Analytics tracking cookies (_ga, _gid), the site does not set persistent cookies for regular visitors. (An admin_token cookie is set only for admin users after they log in and is not accessible to JavaScript.)
• Server logs: Our web server automatically records standard access logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) in the ordinary course of operating the service. These logs are used for debugging and security purposes and are not sold or shared.

3. Location data (“Near Me Now”)

If you click Use My Location, your browser will prompt you to share your GPS coordinates. If you consent:

• Your coordinates are sent to our server as URL query parameters to perform a geographic search for nearby events.
• We do not store, log, or share your GPS coordinates. They are used only to process your search request and are discarded immediately afterward.
• Location access is entirely optional — the rest of the site works without it.

4. Event data and third-party content

EventYo aggregates event listings from public sources such as venue websites, city calendars, and community organizations. We do not control the privacy practices of those sources. Event detail pages may link to or display images hosted by third parties; those third parties may have their own data-collection practices.

5. Children’s privacy

EventYo is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

6. Data security

We use HTTPS for all connections and follow reasonable practices to protect the security of our infrastructure. Because we collect minimal data, the risk of a breach affecting your personal information is low.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of EventYo after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
