October Faculty Voices 2. Storytelling for Learning: Fresh Alternatives to Traditional Papers
As AI and evolving student needs challenge traditional written assignments, faculty are exploring new ways for students to demonstrate meaningful learning. This session showcases how story-based assignments can be adapted across disciplines as authentic assessments that foster creativity, critical thinking, and communication. Participants will explore examples from multiple fields, examine practical design considerations, and discover accessible tools such as Adobe Firefly that make story-based projects easy to implement. Faculty will leave with ideas and resources to create engaging, rigorous assignments that align with their own course outcomes.
