AMERICAN THEATER GROUP: Destroying David.

October 23, 24 & 25. Tickets prices $51-$61 (inclusive of all fees).

American Theater Group proudly presents a unique theatrical experience written and performed by Jason Odell Williams and directed by Charlotte Cohn. ATTENZIONE!

Michelangelo’s David is in danger of collapsing! And it may not survive the night.

Is it the 500-year-old crack in the statue’s ankle that will bring it down? The frequent earthquakes around Florence?

Or the charming but troubled tour guide with a gift for gab and nothing to lose? Destroying David is a funny, heartbreaking, and ultimately uplifting solo show about the beauty, resilience, and power of art to help us through our darkest hours.

Interested in experiencing the performance up close? Premium floor seating is available.

Be in the room… where it may or may not happen! “ Destroying David is a triumph. Mesmerizing from start to finish.

Brilliant and beautifully layered. This is a work of art about a work of art.” – Broadway World, Dallas “ Destroying David is a marvel!

A true feat of imagination. A story of timeless art and everyday grief.

A meditation on mortality, both human and artistic.” – On Stage, Texas “Breathtaking! [Destroying David] shows us that in our darkest, most hopeless moments, art—theatre, sculpture, and the shared breath of a live audience—is exactly what ‘shows us the light.’ It is a shimmering example of why we need the theatre now more than ever.” – Stage & Cinema American Theater Group is a professional Actors Equity Association Company in residence at the Sieminski Theater.
