Experience the wildest weather in the solar system! There will be a thrilling, planet-wide tour of the solar system’s most extreme environments and supersonic storms.

We will also engineer working wind-meters, capture lightning with static electricity, and build our own booming thunder instruments. From creating beautiful sun-print art to releasing instant clouds right before your eyes, this hands-on day bridges science and art in the wildest ways.

Join us for a special day of learning designed for homeschool families! Each program begins with an interactive presentation or film in the Caperton Planetarium and Theater, followed by a hands-on STEM Lab experience in our classrooms.

Families register and attend together, with both students and adults participating in the planetarium and lab activities. Children who receive Hope Scholarship funds may allocate those funds for this program through the Hope Scholarship Portal.

Please note: scholarship funds can only be applied to the cost of the child’s participation and cannot be used to cover adult admission. Once funds are allocated in the portal, the Clay Center will contact you to finalize your registration.

If you have not heard from us after 2 business days, do not hesitate to contact our Box Office for further assistance. Limited space available.

Early registration is recommended. REGISTRATION Calendar of Events Posted In: Avampato Discovery Museum Tagged: Homeschool Day Previous Previous February 27 Elliot Foundation Symphonic Series Presents: Music in Motion Next Next March 20 Elliot Foundation Symphonic Series Presents: Music for Spring
