Legacy Park Beaver Complex Tour
Beaver Complex Tour of Legacy Park
Join us for a guided tour through the fascinating beaver complex at Legacy Park! This one-mile hike will take you through the woods to view five impressive beaver dams, which create vibrant wetland, pond, and stream habitats. These ecosystems support a healthy population of aquatic, terrestrial, and avian species, offering a unique opportunity to learn about the diverse wildlife at Legacy Park.
Along the way, we’ll also explore forest restoration efforts, including the removal of invasive exotic plants such as English Ivy, Bradford Pear, and privet, and the replanting of native trees and shrubs.
Spots are limited, and registration is required to attend the tour. While beavers are fascinating animals that can sometimes be active during the day, they are primarily nocturnal, and there is no guarantee of seeing a beaver on the tour.
