Meet the Author: Malia Maunakea & Free Book Giveaway
Everyone is invited to join Waiʻanae Public Library for a special author event featuring local author Malia Maunakea, author of Lei and the Fire Goddess and Lei and the Invisible Islands. Malia will be sharing her newest book, Shark Prince, a story inspired by the Westside.
Families will have an opportunity to meet the author, learn more about her new book, and celebrate local stories and ʻāina. Malia would also like to give away 100 copies of Shark Prince to keiki in the community, while supplies last.
The author is available to visit Waiʻanae Public Library on Saturday, October 17, in the morning. All ages are welcome.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible.
Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required.
