Join the City of Inverness for the Cootertober Chili Competition on Saturday, October 24 at the Depot Pavilion. Cootertober Chili Competition Think your chili has what it takes?

Join the City of Inverness for the Cootertober Chili Competition on Saturday, October 24 at the Depot Pavilion. Teams are invited to prepare their best chili and compete for awards in Judges’ Choice Best Chili, People’s Choice Best Chili, and Best Decorated/Themed Booth.

First- and second-place awards will be presented in each category. The competition is free to enter, and team costumes and decorated booths are encouraged.

Public chili tasting will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. Date: Saturday, October 24, 2026 Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Location: Depot / Tower Stage at Liberty Park Interested in Competing? There is no registration fee to enter the chili competition.

Teams must prepare a minimum of three gallons of chili and follow all setup, cooking, serving, and booth requirements outlined in the official competition rules. Review the full Cootertober Chili Competition Rules and Participant Information before registering.

Cornhole Competition A cornhole competition will also take place during the event. Additional details, including registration information, will be announced soon.
