The Deal Behind the Data
How real estate professionals use comps to understand the market, and the AI-era tools that read them
A two-day event
Day 1
Ever wondered how real estate pros actually know what a building is worth? Join REES, Franklin Street, and CompStak for the first night of our two-part series.
We'll cover what a comp is, how transaction data gets collected, and how brokers, investors, developers, lenders, and occupiers use it to make real decisions.
You'll also get an intro to CompStak and how to start building your own market knowledge. Open to all KSU students; no real estate background needed.
Day 2
The Deal Behind the Data: Case Study Working Session*
Description: Night two is hands-on, not a lecture! You'll team up to work through a real comp set and present what the data says about the market, the same exercise analysts run before a deal.
Came to part one? Perfect. Missed it? Still come.
Please bring a laptop. Open to all KSU students
Chick-fil-A is on us for both days!
