Today, SABR welcomes 2 speakers for our Fall Meeting, John Dowd and Andy Billman:

John Dowd: He was appointed by Major League Baseball as special counsel in multiple investigations, with the most notable investigation being the Dowd report, which results in Pete Rose being banned from baseball for life.

Andy Billman: Award winning producer with a passion for sports and storytelling. Billman started at ESPN in July 2002, and he has worked on SportsCenter, The ESPYs, Playmakers, Tilt and Dream Job. Since 30 for 30’s inception in 2009, he has been with the group working as a producer and director of documentaries for ESPN Films, including baseball related productions. Andy Billman is also the director of the 5 part Dick Allen docuseries called, My Father, Dick Allen that was just at the Boston Film Festival in September. It's about Richard Allen Jr and his pursuit to have his father inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

SABR was founded in Cooperstown, NY in 1971. Its purpose is to foster the study and research of baseball, and to provide an outlet for educational and historical information about the game. More information can be found at sabr.org.
