The collection of materials takes place 14 times a year at collection locations throughout the county.

With proof of residency, homeowners have the ability to go to other participating cities for their collection events. There is no cost to residents of Pompano Beach for this service.

Chemical products or biological waste not suitable for disposal with regular residential garbage service is considered as household hazardous waste. These items include cleaning solvents, paints, and pesticides.

These wastes may also contain substances that can catch fire, react with other chemicals, explode, or are corrosive or toxic.
