JCCMW, in partnership with Smart Kids With Learning Disabilities, invites you to Building Connections: Neurodiversity Resource Fair—an afternoon dedicated to connection, support, and resources for neurodivergent individuals and their families. Meet local schools, educational programs, clinicians, community organizations, nonprofits, and businesses that provide services and support for children, teens, and young adults with learning and attention differences.
Discover valuable resources, explore programs and services, connect with experts, and meet other families in our community. Featured speaker Dr.
Lisa Rappaport, psychologist, author of Parenting Dyslexia, and longtime Smart Kids supporter and Advisory Board member, will share her expertise on the emotional impact of learning differences, navigating academic challenges, and helping children reach their full potential. CEO, vocational specialist, and virtual reality enthusiast C.J.
O’Brien helps individuals of all abilities achieve success in an ever-changing workforce. C.J. will discuss skill-building opportunities that foster independence and prepare individuals with developmental disabilities for meaningful employment.
Learn how to identify the right educational fit, understand available supports and accommodations, and help your child build the skills and confidence needed for successful transitions with Sari Canell, Private Prep Westchester, John Civita, Winston Prepatory School, Dr. Alexander Moris-Wood, Franklin Academy, and Daniela Rosenblatt, The Pinnacle School.
Come discover resources, ask questions, and build connections with a community that understands. Sensory room, arts & crafts, DJ, VR Experience, giveaways, and more!
