Shakopee Holiday Fest
Shakopee’s Holiday Fest takes over downtown on Saturday, December 5 from 2 to 6 p.m. The Shakopee Chamber and Visitors Bureau fills First Avenue, Lewis Street and the Lewis Street lot with an open streets celebration that kicks off the holiday season: a vendor market, pictures with Santa, a parade and the tree lighting.
The tree lighting is on First Avenue East in front of River City Centre, with a welcome from Chamber president Tim Zunker and Mayor Matt Lehman. The Chamber has not posted the hour-by-hour schedule yet.
Last year the tree was lit at 5:30 p.m. and fireworks followed at Huber Park, so check the Chamber’s page for this year’s times closer to the day. Details are on the Shakopee Chamber’s Holiday Fest page .
