Scarecrows on Main October 3 – October 31 Downtown Travelers Rest is once again transforming into an outdoor gallery of creativity for Scarecrows on Main! Stroll along Main Street and discover dozens of imaginative, handcrafted scarecrows created by local businesses, organizations, schools, and community groups.

This year’s patriotic theme, “Stars, Stripes, & Scarecrows – America 250,” celebrates our nation’s upcoming 250th anniversary with displays inspired by American history, heritage, and hometown pride. While you’re exploring downtown, be sure to vote for your favorite scarecrow!

Community voting helps recognize the most creative displays and adds to the fun for visitors of all ages. Voting Winners are chosen based on the most votes in the following categories: Fan Picks – Selected by paper ballots cast at shops in town!
