TC Curling Club: Traverse City Track Club Event 10/17 4:30-6:30

Join the TC Curling Club and the Traverse City Track Club for an evening on the ice! All participants will learn the basics of the game of curling.

We will start with the delivery of the curling stone and sweeping. Once the basics are learned participants will learn the basics of playing a game.

Friends and Family are welcome to join. This event is appropriate for ages 8&Up.

Juniors under 12 must wear a helmet or head protection (bike helmets work). The club does have various forms of head protection available, but it is best if each participant brings their own.

We do ask that if children are out on the ice, that parents are present to observe and help if needed. The warm room will be available for family members to watch or to take a break if desired.

Modifications can be made for all abilities. Curling is a wheelchair friendly sport.

Stick curling (Standing) is also available for those that have hip/knee issues where the lunge position does not work. All participants will need to sign a waiver before going out on the ice.

All equipment is provided. The ice room is 35 degrees, so we recommend dressing in layers.

Athletic shoes and clothing are recommended.
