Lyman Estate Landscape Tour
Historic New England leads a guided walk through the Lyman Estate’s rolling woodland paths and garden walks, tracing how the grounds once featured pleasure landscapes, formal gardens, a pond system, woodlands, and a working farm cared for across more than four generations of the Lyman family. Hear stories about the plants and wildlife found here and the people who tended them.
The group meets at the mansion’s front door and the program takes place rain or shine. The greenhouses, among the oldest surviving complexes in the country, will be open for participants to visit before or after the tour.
Expect uneven terrain and some inclines. Plan for about 90 minutes on foot with no seating.
Admission is Members $15 and Nonmembers $25.
