Functional Mobility Yoga (Seated)
Martie Schoener will be leading Functional Mobility Yoga a seated yoga for all ages and abilities. Functional mobility yoga focuses on improving the body’s ability to move efficiently and effectively in daily life, rather than just increasing flexibility .
It emphasizes strengthening muscles that support joints and engaging core muscles to improve stability and coordination. This approach is valuable because it helps prevent injuries by building strength around vulnerable areas and promotes better posture and movement patterns.
Our Chair Yoga and Seated Movement class is now in its second year, and we’re grateful to continue receiving wonderful feedback from our regular participants! This gentle, accessible class is designed to benefit the mind, body, and nervous system, helping improve mobility, balance, flexibility, and overall well-being.
No prior experience is necessary, and new participants are always welcome. Every movement can be adapted to accommodate physical limitations, allowing everyone to participate at their own pace in a supportive, judgment-free environment.
