As well as our well know large group of local artisans you will also find at the festival, a unique series of local makers who will be running workshops to entertain and encourage you to make and create - all with a Halloween/Autumnal theme.

Our Sensory Tipi will also once again be an inclusive sensory environment in which we host a series of accessible and creative events (pre-bookable and turn up on the day) which will offer a Halloween inspired sensory haven in the centre of York. We will schedule a range of activities including: Halloween biscuit decorating Lollipop spiders webs Spiders Web Suncatchers Halloween Bunting making Bath Bomb Painting & Potion Making Children (and adults!) are welcome to book any of the above activities- just click here to book your place on one of the Sensory Tipi Children's Workshops -come and join in the fun!!

Demonstrations and Workshops The Yorkshire Halloween Festival will also feature a series of small pop-up marquees, erected in front of the main marquee, which will house on-going demonstrations and workshops with an Autumnal/Halloween theme from the following: Blacksmithing Environmental Arts & Must Forge, local blacksmiths who will be demonstrating their blacksmithing skills and offering workshops on creating your own metal rose. Specialising in paper and natural crafts, with a focus on botanical and nature-inspired themes.

Their workshop offers an opportunity to make a a willow bird feeder, a beautiful dragonfly, a swallow or a five-pointed star (drop in workshops for smaller, quick projects are also available on the day). Click here to book: Willow Weaving Workshop Botanical Resin Jewellery Workshops Anastasia Smith , a pressed flower and resin artist creates intricate botanical pieces that preserve the natural beauty of real flowers in lasting designs.

Inspired by nature and a love of detailed floral compositions, her work transforms delicate blooms into wearable jewellery and decorative pieces for the home. Anastasia will be hosting a series of resin flower workshops giving you a chance to explore this creative process and make your own designs .
