Chieftains Museum: Bart Lindstrom Workshop
A three-day portrait workshop at Booth Art Academy led by artist Bart Lindstrom focuses on painting from life using full color alla prima techniques. Lindstrom demonstrates his approach to color and value, beginning with practical exercises in mixing paint and showing how the choices are grounded in complementary color relationships.
Participants then put the palette and method into practice with live models, working under direct guidance and receiving feedback as they progress. The aim is to take the mystery out of color so complementary theory becomes a reliable and energizing part of the painting process.
Tuition is $425 for museum members and $500 for non-members. Enrollment is limited to 16 students, with a minimum of 6 required.
