South Fulton
Chili Cook Off & Fall Festival
Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the CAC’s beloved chili tradition, this year’s festivities expand into a combined Chili Cook Off and fall celebration across Douglas County High School and the Cultural Arts Center. What began in 1996 on the Cultural Arts Center’s front porch and later flourished on O’Neal Plaza now returns to both locations, with all the chili competition happening at the high school while the CAC grounds host a costume contest, sweet treat vendors, yard games, and an art exhibit.
More than 4,000 people enjoyed the event last year, sampling a wide range of recipes served by familiar Douglasville faces. In previous years, local officials, political groups, candidates, businesses, and nonprofits have competed to claim bragging rights for the best chili in Douglasville and Douglas County.
Booth and ticket purchases support the work of the Cultural Arts Council.
