Painted Book Edges Watch Party: Holiday Edition

Turn an ordinary hardcover book into a deluxe edition at this Third Place event! The Library will provide books, stencils, and supplies to help you create painted page edges and custom designs. You're also welcome to bring your own book to personalize or transform a donated book into a unique holiday gift.

We'll be listening to holiday themed music and also screening the 1964 stop-motion animated classic Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer by Rankin & Bass.

About Third Place on Second Street:

A "third place" is an important social space where people gather and connect outside of home and work. These spaces encourage conversation, build relationships, spark new ideas, and create a sense of community. The Wichita Public Library invites you to make the library your third place through Third Place on Second Street, a program series designed to bring people together. Each event features a unique theme and activity—from board games and movies to live music and hands-on projects—offering opportunities to relax, have fun, and connect with others. Every event also includes a curated selection of library materials related to the theme, available for checkout. Come discover how the library can be your third place!
